Most variable valve timing systems only offer provisions for retarding a camshaft – there’s nothing that can be done to advance the camshaft. We have a unique solution with our Total Control Cam Timing Control System. Available for the LT1 along with the Three-Valve Modular Ford 4.6, the GM LS, and the Mopar HEMI engines, the system provides a way for you to set the camshaft where it needs to be for optimum performance. The lockouts used in conjunction with the offset vane allow you to optimize cam timing for ideal performance.
Livernois Motorsports & Engineering has become best-known for revolutionary tuning and high-end performance products for late model Ford, Mopar and GM vehicles. The company is proud of its deep roots in the automotive and motorsports industry dating back to its original founding in 1949. Since then the company has expanded its product line to include tuning and performance components for desert racing, SCCA and drag racing. Livernois Motorsports is proud to engineer, test and manufacture its products in the USA.
Through the use of an offset vane that provides the user with up to six degrees of camshaft adjustment, and a set of phaser limiters that are included in the kit, the system retains the rest of the stock parts for simplicity’s sake.
For example the cam comes in at 114 degrees, and you want to advance it. By using the offset vane, you can adjust it from 114 to 110 degrees easily. There is a lot of variation in camshaft cores. The kit provides for adjustment in one-degree increments up to the six-degree max.
